What I want is information regarding Table 5.2 (Should be there in page no.92, Number and Percentage of Known Brazilian Indigenous Groups by Intensity of Contact in 1900 and 1957). I have table 5.2 with me, but I don't have the details. According to the table, out of the 230 tribes which were present in Brazil as of 1900, 87 became extinct, 38 got assimilated, 45 came in to permanent contact... and so on. I want the names of these tribes, and their date of extinction if possible. Once again, thanking you for your help. Here is a conundrum: prostitute and constitute have the same root word, namely stitute. Pro means for and con means against. Why are these two words so different while their root is the same?
