On [[June 27]], 2006, Max appeared on the [[Opie and Anthony]] show on [[XM Satellite Radio]]. The interview quickly went sour. UponEchoing the questioning, Max was unable topreface validatefrom his "Tuckeranal Tries Buttsex" story by producing evidence, a fact Max states up-front in thesex story itself<ref>http://www.tuckermax.com/archives/entries/tucker_tries_buttsex_hilarity_does_not_ensue.phtml#278</ref> Max was unable to corroborate the tale with evidence. Max was also unable to produce a police report involving a parking mishap discussed in another story. Opie and Anthony cut his monitor feed, and then led an unsuspecting Max into believing that his headphones had broken <ref>[http://www.blowingsmokethemovie.com/archives/2006/06/tucker_max_went.php]</ref>. While Max's headphones were off, Anthony told the audience that Tucker Max was not telling the truth. The interview ended with Max being called a "liar." After Max walked out of the studio, the radio duo threw Max's book at a window and ripped another copy to shreds. Max has since removed all mentions of this appearance on his website.
