It made dark background as well as the dash on the diagonal and dark areas on matches not played. I dont know if this is the best or what is best. On the template based result-tables it is grey on those boxes you set "null" (look at [[2014–15 Premier League#Results table]]) and that is done when teams can not meet eachother.
