August 2001 saw the beginning of the first year to have four grades, with the first senior class. The student body grew to over 2400. The Jaguars began to make their mark in all aspects of district competitions, including athletic, academic and artistic. Flower Mound High School has received outstanding recognition in many areas.
 
The school has many activities such as Football, Tennis, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Cross Country, Hockey, Golf, Soccer, Swimming, RosesettsRosettes, Track and Field, Volleyball, Wrestling, Air Force JROTC, Band, Orchestra, Choir, Theatre Arts, Technology, Foreign Languages, and many extra-curricular clubs.
 
Flower Mound High School received Gold Performance Acknowledgments from the [[Texas Education Agency|TEA]] in 2003-04 for: Recommended High School Program (Class of 2003); Attendance (2002-03); Advanced Academic Courses (2002-03); AP/IB Results (2002-03); College Admissions (Class of 2003); TAAS/TASP Equivalency (Class of 2003); and Commended on Social Studies.
