::With no criticism, this article is just a piece of lightweight Lightbox fanstuff. Worthless. :::True, but that criticism was poorly written, at best. Anyone else want a go at it, with actual sources and more on-topic? http://www.nngroup.com/articles/overuse-of-overlays/ http://www.moghill.co.uk/blog/website-sins-4-pop-up-light-boxes-bad-idea/ http://tabcloseddidntread.com/ To start. A 'little' biased, though. Criticism technically is supposed to be both pros/cons analysis but I don't think that's how the word is used on this site. ;) 73.181.82.26 (talk) 20:51, 23 September 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for this article. I've been trying to discover for a while how lightboxes worked and according to this article they use modal dialog boxes. That is very helpful. If you must have criticism then by all means be critical, but the article is definitely useful and informative. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.38.221.237 (talk) 21:37, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
