The {{nihongo|'''Ryukyu Domain'''|琉球藩|Ryūkyū han}} was a short-lived [[han (administrative division)|___domain]] of Japan in the area of the current [[Okinawa Prefecture]] and other islands{{citation needed|date=May 2013}} at the Pacific edge of the [[East China Sea]]. It existed from 1872 to 1879, whereupon it became [[Okinawa Prefecture]].
