'''Mitchell High School''' is located in [[Mitchell, Nebraska]]. In the school year 2005-2006 the school had a student population of about 305 students in grades 7-12. Mitchell High School is a member of [[Nebraska School Activities Association]] (NSAA). The [[socioeconomic]] status of the students is low-middle to middle income.

Their mascot is the Tiger and their school colors are orange and black.
 
They are one of the first schools in Scottsbluff County to use block scheduling. Which includes four different classes that alternate every day. Making a total of 8 classes. A fifthninth class is usually study hall and occurs right before lunch. Firdays are also half days, getting out at 12:30 PM. Classes on a normal day are 90 Min long except for Study Hall which is 45 min. Lunch is 45 min. On Friday the classes are 45 minutes long, and the study hall is 30 Min. Lunch starts at the cafetiria at 12:30 PM and ends at 1:00 PM on friday.
 
Recently though they have changed their schedual to a new version of block scheduling. There are two 45 min classes in the morining, which are the same every day, then a 90 min class that alternates every day, next is lunch, then two 90 min alternating classes, and finaly a 45 min Study Hall. The school day starts at 8:00Am and ends at 3:45Am on Monday - Thursday. On Friday it still is a half day as before.
 
Their activities include:football, volleyball, girl's golf, cross-country, girls & boys basketball, wrestling, one-acts, speech, musical, marching band, show choir, [[Future Business Leaders of America]] (FBLA), Quiz Bowl, [[National Honor Society]] (NHS), track, boys golf & cheerleading.
