The building was further more remodelled, however without changing the structure stemmed from the before operations, to host the [[municipio|sede municipale]], whose opening took place on the 17th of december in 1978. During the [[ristrutturazione]] the [[portico|orignial three-arcades portico]] was rebuilt with beautiful granite pillars.

The remodelling works have erased almost of the whole fresco's decorations on the [[facciata]]. On the backside we can glimpse a monochrome representation about [[cariatidi]] that seem supporting the balconys, which actually are a twntieth-century addition.

Throught the grand staircase to the first floor, we could admire a big fresco "Arts and crafts" by Max Squillace, Franco Ghezzi and Gian Mario Mariani. In the wall painting are depicted culture, family, field works and factory works, man's aggressiveness. Field works are rappresented by a man with plough and oxes. Field works were the first economic richness's source which then were displaced by factory, technology and industry mechanization. Family, in a social context, is depicted by a man who gives to a woman, layed down on the big hand of earth mother, a wheat seed as fecundity's sign. Figure contained in a globe are representing culture. This bodies, in all their beauty, strongly statuesque, are stirred, as getting out of the structure in which they are put, to show that culture isn't about few elected people but an interchangeable property. At last a man that symbolizes the aggressiveness which is inside of us and we should "take it ou" to create something new and maybe a new world. In the middle, as show the bond of all these with the city, there is the eown's coat of arms<ref>Brugherio - Notiziario Comunale - gennaio 1979</ref>.
Lungo lo scalone d'accesso al piano superiore si può ammirare il grande affresco "Arti e mestieri" di Max Squillace, Franco Ghezzi e Gian Mario Mariani. Nel murale vengono rappresentati la cultura, la famiglia, il lavoro dei campi e della fabbrica, l'aggressività dell'uomo. Il lavoro agricolo viene raffigurato dall'uomo con l'aratro e i buoi. Il lavoro nei campi è stato la prima fonte di ricchezza economica dell'uomo che in seguito è stato soppiantato dalla fabbrica, dalla tecnologia e dalla meccanicizzazione dell'industria. La famiglia, inserita in un contesto sociale, viene rappresentata da un uomo che offre alla donna, adagiata nella grande mano della madre terra, il seme di grano simbolo di fertilità. Figure umane racchiuse in un globo rappresentano la cultura. Questi corpi, raffigurati in tutta la loro bellezza, fortemente plastici, si agitano, uscendo dalla struttura nella quale sono inseriti, quasi a dimostrare che la cultura non è prerogativa di pochi eletti dentro un ghetto d'oro ma, invece, un patrimonio interscambiabile. Ed infine l'uomo che simboleggia l'aggressività che è dentro di noi e che dobbiamo "tirar fuori" per costruire cose nuove e forse addirittura un mondo nuovo. Al centro dell'opera, come a rappresentare graficamente il legame di tutto ciò con la città, lo stemma comunale<ref>Brugherio - Notiziario Comunale - gennaio 1979</ref>.
