Originally developed at the urging of the [[de:|German Wikipedia]] community, the idea of having edits be reviewed prior to going “live” has been around the English Wikipedia since at least 2008. Discussions since the concept of the tool was introduced have often revolved around what, if any, implementation would be suited to the English Wikipedia community.
