It's pitting Rand's philosophy of value against the [[subjective theory of value]], but the subjective theory of value is theory about why things have different prices in the market. That's not what Rand's theory of value is about. The subjective theory of value says that for a thing to have a market price that it has to be useful in satisfying wants and it can't be in ulimited supply. The STV is about market price.
