:::{{ec}} {{u|Johnuniq}}, I've removed EXX, but EXA is used at {{t|infobox country at games}} (and, ostensibly, anywhere else where you'd want an example flag). I've also reworded the top comments so that it's less of a "To do" and more of a "here's a note about those duplicate entries". This is mainly so if (for example) South Africa's entry needed an update, it would clear that ''both'' codes would need to be updated.
:::As for the proper place to have a discussion, I suggest a soft redirect to [[Template talk:Country alias]] as mentioned; this way it's clear that the template is the main place for most discussions, but will not preclude discussions like this that should really be taking place on the module talk. Sound good?
:::As for the edit conflict with {{u|Joeyline}} - I agree that's an acceptable change since the new flag was approved in Jan 2004.
