Ryback fa il suo ritorno nella puntata di Raw del 27 ottobre, con tornando come [[face]], sconfiggendo [[Bo Dallas]] con grande facilita. Nella puntata di [[WWE SmackDown|SmackDown]] del 31 ottobre sconfigge [[Heath Miller|Heath Slater]] in pochi minuti. Nella puntata di [[WWE Raw|Raw]] del 10 novembre, in vista delle [[WWE Survivor Series 2014|Survivor Series]], si unisce al Team Authority dopo aver attaccato John Cena, ma a fine serata attacca anche i membri del team di Triple H e Stephanie McMahon dopo che avevano interferito nel suo match contro Cena. La settimana successiva si unisce al team del bostoniano.
Alle Survivor Series viene eliminato da [[Miroslav Barnjašev|Rusev]] ma il team Cena, grazie all'aiuto di Sting, riesce comunque a vincere e di fatto Triple H e Stephanie McMahon perdono il loro potere. Nella puntata di Raw successiva all'evento, Ryback attacca [[GlennKane Jacobs(wrestler)|Kane]] dopo che quest'ultimo gli aveva gettato un hot dog addosso. Il 28 novembre, a SmackDown, sconfigge Seth Rollins per squalifica dopo che Kane lo ha attaccato con una sedia e nella stessa serata il General Manager della puntata [[Bryan Danielson|Daniel Bryan]] ha annunciato che a TLC Ryback affronterà Kane in un Chairs match. Al pay-per-view sconfigge il ''Big Red Monster''.
Dopo aver concluso la faida con Kane, Ryback ne inizia una con Rusev dopo che quest'ultimo lo ha attaccato prima dei suoi match o interferendo nel corso di essi. Durante la puntata di Raw del 5 gennaio 2015 Ryback viene licenziato da [[Stephanie McMahon]] insieme ad [[Joseph Ruud|Erick Rowan]] e [[Nick Nemeth|Dolph Ziggler]] come punizione per aver aderito al Team Cena alle Survivor Series. Grazie alla vittoria di Cena a Raw il 19 gennaio i tre vengono riassunti e il 22 gennaio, a Smackdown, Ryback si qualifica per il Royal Rumble match sconfiggendo per count-out Rusev. Alla [[WWE Royal Rumble 2015|Royal Rumble]], prende parte al Royal Rumble match entrando con il numero 23 ma viene eliminato da Kane e Big Show. Combatte a Smackdown il 5 febbraio in coppia con Ziggler per battere [[Dustin Runnels|Goldust]] e Stardust. Continua il suo feud con l'Authority, aiutando Dolph Ziggler e Erick Rowan dagli attacchi di questi ultimi. Nella puntata del 9 febbraio di Raw, vince solo per squalifica contro, [[Colby Lopez|Seth Rollins]], a causa dell'attacco della J&J Security. Settimana successiva, interviene per salvare Dolph Ziggler, insieme ad [[Erick Rowan]] dall'attacco di Rollins e J&J Security. A [[WWE Fastlane 2015|Fastlane]], Ryback, Erick Rowan e Dolph Ziggler vengono sconfitti da Seth Rollins, Kane e Big Show, che a fine match provano a infierire sui tre, venendo però salvati dal rientrante Randy Orton. Il 29 marzo, a [[WrestleMania 31]] partecipa all'Andrè the Giant Memorial Battle Royal nel kickoff show, dove arriva quarto, eliminato da Big Show che poi vincerà la contesa. A [[WWE Extreme Rules 2015|Extreme Rules]] interrompe [[Bo Dallas]] in un segmento colpendolo con un Meat Hook e a seguire con la Shell Shocked. Nella puntata di Raw successiva al PPV, sconfigge Dallas, ma dopo il match viene attaccato da [[Windham Rotunda|Bray Wyatt]] con una Sister Abigail. A [[WWE Payback 2015|Payback]], viene sconfitto da Wyatt. La notte seguente a Raw viene annunciato come partecipante dell'Elimination Chamber match dell'[[WWE Elimination Chamber 2015|omonio pay-per-view]] valido per il vacante [[WWE Intercontinental Championship]], nella stessa sera perde contro Sheamus.
