I'm surprised the article doesn't mention that the songtitle is an ironic reference to [[John Osborne]]'s [[Social Realism|social realist]] play "''Look Back in Anger''" (1956), still remembered as the source of the phrase [[Angry Young Man]], its style contrasting with the genteel and understated work of [[Terence Rattigan]] and others. Thanks to it, [[Northern England|Northern]] and [[working class]] life came to be seen as fit subjects for drama, and for culture generally.
