Next-Generation Network NGN1 (NGN2 and 3 Planes)
The General definition for NGN2 Is NGN1 with two added PLANES. The Top Plane are Distributed Applications, their layouts, and operations. The Second Plane are two layers that provide services and communication within applications.
The Third Plan is NGN1 layers that work together to move the Application Data or Transfer the Application Data from one application or application part to another

Next-Generation Network (NGN1)
It is PLANE based packet-network of layers that can provide services to application port to port to move data from one including Telecommunication Services and is able to make use of multiple broadband, quality of Service-enabled transport technologies and in which service-related functions are independent from underlying transport-related technologies .
The ITU General definition for NGN (Next Generation Network)as:
“A Next Generation Network (NGN) is an IP packet-based network providing services including Telecommunication Services. It is able to make use of many broadband, QoS-enabled transport data technologies, The Network Service functions/applications are independent from underlying transport/data transfer-related technologies. Access is not restricted to users to different service providers. Generally it supports mobility which will allow consistent and ubiquitous provision of services to users” NGN1 is a separate PLANE in the NGN2 Model. Plans be related operations that require a separate look in the New 3D Networking World.
The NGN/NGN1 is fundamental these:
• Packet-based data transfer client to gateway router, internetworking router to internetworking router, gateway router to server.
• Application separation of control functions among bearer capabilities, call/session, and application/ service
• Separate service provision from network, and provision of open APIs
• Dat Transfer Support for many services, applications and mechanisms based on service building blocks (including real time/ streaming/ non-real time services and multi-media)
• The Ability to provide Broadband capabilities with end-to-end QoS and transparency
• Interworking with legacy networks via open interfaces
• Generalized mobility
• General access by users and service providers
• Many identification schemes which can be linked or resolved to IP addresses for the purposes of routing in IP networks
• Unified service characteristics for the service perceived by the user
• Combined services between Fixed/Mobile devices
• Independence of applications, and service-related functions from underlying dat transfer/transport technologies. The Key Divide between NGN1 and NGN2
• Regulatory requirement compliance, examples concerning emergency communications and security/privacy, etc.
Next-Generation Network (NGN2)
This is a Network the distributes application across the NGN1 network but divides the application and services separate from the data transfer operations of NGN1. The NGN1 is still packet based. The Application that are distributed across the NGN1 infrastructure provide services (Plane and Layer 1and require services such as DND, SNMP, etc (Plane 2 and Sublayers 1a and b. The Applications Parts must communicated normally using messages, different APIs, and defined QOS needs by different application types. (Plane 3 and Layer 2)
The General definition for NGN2 (Next Generation Network2)as:
“A Next Generation Network Two (NGN2) is an 3D network model dividing the distributed applications (Plane 1) from related services and communication fuctions (Plane 2) and putting them over the port to port network NGN1 infrastructure. (Plane 3)
Layer /Plane 1 = The Network Applications in modern networking are distributed across the world using the Internet as the distribution system. The Distributions or Layouts form hierarchies, peer to peers, tired structures.
