Il casting viene annunciato online e chi volesse partecipare al programma deve mandato un provino. Tutti i partecipanti devono avere 21 o più per poter partecipare al programma e avere qualsiasi orientamento sessuale. Donne [[transgender]] possono partecipate al programma e nel corso delle stagioni, alcuni concorrenti hanno dichiarato apertamente il loro stato di transgender. Tra questi ricordiamo: Sonique (concorrente nella seconda stagione) è stata la prima a dichiarare transgender durante la puntata speciale della stagione. Monica Beverly Hillz (concorrente nella quinta stagione) fu la prima a dichiarare transgender durante la competizione.
