Il '''DC Extended Universe''' ('''DCEU''') (in italiano "Universo esteso DC") è un [[media franchise]] composto da una serie di film di supereroi basati sui personaggi dei fumetti [[DC Comics]] e distribuiti dalla [[Warner Bros.|Warner Bros. Pictures]]. Similmente all'[[universo DC]], i film appartenenti a questo franchise condividono l'ambientazione e alcuni personaggi, nonché alcuni elementi della trama che fanno da filo conduttore tra di essi.
Il primo film a essere distribuito è stato ''[[L'uomo d'acciaio]]'' (2013), un [[Reboot (mass media)|reboot]] della serie di film di [[Superman]], seguito da ''[[Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice]]'' (2016). Il franchise è proseguito con ''[[Suicide Squad (film 2016)|Suicide Squad]]'' (2016). Altri film in lavorazione includono ''[[Wonder Woman (film 2017)|Wonder Woman]]'' (2017), ''[[Justice League (film)|Justice League]]'' (2017), e ''[[Aquaman]]'' (2018). La Warner Bros. ha inoltre diversi film in varie fasi di sviluppo, e anche un universo dark, nel quale il primo film in sviluppo è la trasposizione del fumetto Justice League Dark, che sarà scritto da [[Michael Gilio]], e vedrà alla produzione [[Scott Rudin]] mentre alla regia troveremo [[Doug Liman]].

I primi tentativi di creare un universo cinematografico ci furono nel 1998 con ''[[Film su Superman|Superman Lives]]''. Il 1º gennaio 2014 è stato rivelato che la [[Warner Bros.]] aveva provato a creare un nuovo universo cinematografico nel 2011 con ''[[Lanterna Verde (film)|Lanterna Verde]]''.
