The '''Wide Area Tracking System''' (WATS) is a prototype [[wireless sensor network]] for detecting a ground-based nuclear device [http://www.llnl.gov/str/Imbro.html] such as a nuclear "briefcase bomb." WATS is being developed at the [[Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory]] (LLNL).
