According to the docs, ''title'' accepts wikitext is ''title-link'' is not set. However, the code <nowiki>{{cite journal | author =Tiffeneau Marc| year=1921 | title = L'oeuvre commune de [[Charles Frederic Gerhardt|Gerhardt]] et de Wurtz | journal=Revue scientifique }}</nowiki> is mistakenly rendered with the title ''[[Charles Frederic Gerhardt|Gerhardt]]''. This is because ''is_wikilink'', which is called from ''kern_quotes'' ignores text before and after the wikilink.
