Starting with his essay, "On Synaesthetics“ in [[1967]] he opened his creative horizons to a large variety of artistic fields. He included classical string players in his free improvising group "[[just music]]" in [[1967]] and opened the same year the platform, "centrum freier cunst“ (free art centre) in [[Frankfurt/Main]]--a meeting point for live free music, art exhibitions, experimental poetry, action, and other events. He included extended media in his music, including tape, [[field recordings]] and objects (since the 70's), videos, samplers and [[performance art]] (since the 80's), and electronic tools and [[laptops]] (since the 90's). He initiated a world concert via telephone in [[1984]] and included literature and classical works from people like [[Eisler]], [[Bach]], and a.o. in his conceptional improvisations, as well as [[dada]] and [[Punk rock|punk]] (since the 70's), [[noise]] art (since the 80's) and [[New Music]].
