:Do C first. Nobody does a Google search for some boring letter. :) --FOo 15:21, 12 Jan 2005 (UTC)

::Wow! That's really cool. Searching for the other letters are also interesting. It seems like Google does something with the results so you get very strange results when searching for single letter stuff. Eric B. and Rakim 17:38, 13 Jan 2005 (UTC)

:Needless to say, Google and the web have a bias because they're dominated by a technical elite forming a tiny portion of the world's population. You could argue this doesn't matter, because these people are also our audience, but I offer a stronger objection: that generically-named articles should be on generic topics that anyone can understand, if possible. Even if the Water language were as popular as C, most people would be a lot more familiar with the wet stuff. Deco 04:08, 13 Jan 2005 (UTC)

::I can refute the "technical elite" argument right now, I think more about the other arguments later. Do a book search in a library or book store, search for Python. You will have hard time finding any living snakes. So it is not only Google and the www that has a bias and is part of a technical elite. It's the book publishers and librarians too. AND: "Python is the common name for the Boidae Family of nonvenomous constricting snakes—specifically the subfamily Pythonidae." <- biological elite. :) Eric B. and Rakim 17:38, 13 Jan 2005 (UTC)
