*Delete - there are no reliable sources writing about this band. Without these sources, claims that they are influential in the Bristol music scene are completely unverifiable. notability is not established. -- Whpq (talk) 16:22, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
*Delete per nom. The article claims that the band results from the breakup of a "supergroup" called Fate By Chance - which also has zero google hits. Possible hoax. *Keep Author of the article. Firstly, I wrote the article in good faith and as accurately as possible. I realise that the claims made must be reasonably substantiated, however in such an instance, this is difficult. Local bands (especially in that area) only receive comments and reviews in the local media, who only have a paper presence. Moreover, the band are relatively new, unlike the bands mentioned above by Dave Simpson (a reliable source by himself), who can be googled and have been influenced by FID. Aside from this, I am working on obtaining the direct references from the quotes I have used in the article, although this is a difficult process. I do aim to update the article as soon as possible to reflect this. Until then, I would hope the website I have provided within the article would serve to prove the authenticity, at least, of the band.User:FID-Fan <span style="font-size: smaller;" class="autosigned">—Preceding undated comment added 22:58, 22 August 2009 (UTC).</span><!--Template:Undated--> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->
:Comment Unfortunately, material published by local papers regarding local bands is generally not considered a reliable source. This is because, unlike major metropolitan, regional or national press outlets, local papers don't have the standards of fact-checking that the larger outlets do. Also, local papers are in the business of promoting local talent, so their coverage of local talent may well be skewed. Also, you argument about the band's influence seems a bit flawed: how can a relatively new band like Falling Into Difference have been such a major influence on older established bands? Influence generally runs from older bands to new bands, not the other way around. Also, the influence on IAMTHEDOOR and My Friend Friday may not be significant, because a Google search proves that those bands don't meet the Wikipedia notability criteria either. <font color="green">WikiDan61</font><font color="green" size="5px"></font>ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:18, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
