:On a moment's further thought, if I were moved to rectify this small inconsistency, I'd probably link "Georgios Papanicolaou" in the first instance (either through the proposed redirect, or by textual override to the existing link title) and then gloss this first instance with "(also spelled Papanikolaou)".
