== Overview ==
CloudLinux OS provides a modified kernel based on the OpenVZ kernel, adding a set of original fully functional solutions. The main feature is the Lightweight Virtual Environment (LVE) – a separate environment with its own CPU, memory, IO, IOPS, number of processes and other limits.<ref>{{cite web|title=CloudLinux Releases New Inode Limits Feature for cPanel|url=http://www.thewhir.com/web-hosting-news/cloudlinux-releases-new-inode-limits-feature-for-cpanel|publisher=TheWhir.com|accessdate=19 September 2015}}</ref> Switching to CloudLinux OS is performed by a provided cldeploy script which installs its kernel, switches yum repositories and installs basic packages to allow LVE to work. After installation the server requires rebooting to load the newly installed kernel. CloudLinux OS doesn’t modify existing packages, so it is possible to boot previous the kernel in the regular way.<ref>{{cite web|title=CloudLinux OS – mariaż pingwina z chmurą w imię hostingu|url=http://biznes.newsweek.pl/cloudlinux-os-mariaz-pingwina-z-chmura-w-imie-hostingu,artykuly,364351,1.html|publisher=[[Newsweek Polska]]|accessdate=19 September 2015|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150925104800/http://biznes.newsweek.pl/cloudlinux-os-mariaz-pingwina-z-chmura-w-imie-hostingu,artykuly,364351,1.html|archive-date=September 25, 2015|url-status=dead}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|title=Web Hosting Centric OS|url=http://webhostmagazine.com/awards/web-hosting-centric-os/|website=[[Web Hosting Magazine]]|accessdate=22 September 2015|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150523192602/http://www.webhostmagazine.com/awards/web-hosting-centric-os/|archive-date=May 23, 2015|url-status=dead}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|title=Inside CloudLinux's New Linux-Based Cloud OS|url=http://www.thewhir.com/web-hosting-news/inside-cloudlinuxs-new-linux-based-cloud-os|publisher=TheWhir.com|accessdate=22 September 2015}}</ref>
