Line 1: The last line claims that BETA has an "optimal balance" between compile-time and run-time type checking. Sounds quite biased. Some people think Java has the optimal balance, while others think Smalltalk does. This article sounds like it was written for people who already know what BETA is and just want a precise description. As such it is of no help to people like myself, who want to know why my blog site, my email site and my social networking sites are all going BETA.
