HDR Support: pointed out plausible typographical error resulting in a reference to an unintended product, mentioned some dates that should help searchers find material verifying the timeline to clearly establish what product was truly the very 1st demonstrated and available for purchase.

Wasn't the Matrox Parhelia 512 the first to support HDR?

I think I can make sense of this: The Parhelia was the 1st (it was pretty much the only selling point, which they also branded as 40-bit and "Gigacolor". I believe it was available in April while several months later in August ATI announced what was later called Radeon 9000 series, released a few months later and included the above mentioned Radeon 9600 over a year later in Oct 2003. These cards are based on ATI's "Radeon R300 Architecture"; Speculation: someplace the Names "Radeon X300" and "Radeon R300" got mixed up, though this seems like a mute point since the Parhelia was the 1st, and many original articles still online highlight this feature prominently.
