Since this template is intended for use in making table columns sortable, it would be nice if it were possible to set a parameter at the level of the whole table so that options such as |format=dmy, which is required to avoid US-centric dates, do not have to be repeated for each individual date entry? I have no idea if this sort of scope would work in this html/mediawiki mix. Boud (talk) 23:51, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
Output won't break lines
I was trying to figure out why List of national parks of the United States has a narrow Description column while User:E. Brown/List of National Parks of the United States has such a wide one and I realized it's because the Date column is forced to be wider than necessary with the dts template in the former keeping the date on a single line and the latter allowing the line to break. Is there a way to allow the output of this template to be on two lines? Reywas92Talk 03:38, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
