The first LVSRs were ordered in 2006. The LVSR is the [[United States Marine Corps|U.S. Marines’]]USMC's equivalent of the [[United States Army|U.S. Army’s]] [[Oshkosh Corporation|Oshkosh]] [[Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck]] (HEMTT) and Oshkosh [[Palletized Load System]] (PLS). The Marines do not use the HEMTT or PLS<ref name="Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR)"/> and the Army does not use the LVSR, but both services use a common trailer (M1076) with all three truck types.
