Invisible thread is very thin monofilament thread used by magicians to make small, lightweight objects seem to levitate and animate. It is usually made from nylon which has been separated into individual strands.
Types Of Invisible Threads
There are generally three types:
Ultra Fine - Used in close up and street magic, can carry the weight of very light objects e.g. bills.
Fine - Also used in close up and street magic but is slightly more visible, can carry weight of light objects e.g. coins.
Strong - Used in stage magic. Visible when close up but not from a distance under proper lighting. Can support a varied range of heavier items, from bottles to humans, depending on its thickness and strength.
