Asakura (朝倉市; -shi) is a city located in Fukuoka, Japan.

As of 2003, the former town has an estimated population of 10,116 and a density of 292.71 persons per km². The total area is 34.56 km².

The city was created on March 20, 2006 when the former city of Amagi merged with the former municipalities of Asakura and Haki to form the new city of Asakura.
