Diskless Remote Boot in Linux

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Gregory.dulin (talk | contribs) at 17:23, 6 July 2007 (Removed first sentance as it didn't make any sense (to me) (and I use DRBL regularly)). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

DRBL stands Diskless Remote Boot in Linux, it provides a diskless or systemless environment for client machines. It works on Debian, Ubuntu, Mandriva, Red Hat, Fedora, CentOS and SuSE. Unlike LTSP, it uses distributed hardware resources and makes it possible for clients to fully access local hardware. It also includes Clonezilla, a partitioning and disk cloning utility similar to Symantec Ghost. Check http://drbl.sf.net for more details.
