Hello Orango, I am sorry, but 2 votes are too few for a permanent status, temporary status is full access, this is only a quality control, he can prolong it easily shortly before the period runs out by leaving a short notice here, if everything is alright it will be prolonged without any bureaucracy. Can you get feedback from some of the other editors currently using the wiki? There aren't that many of them. But it is unusual to grant temp sysop rights to an editor who hasn't started to edit the project. Please do a local request anyway, this way no one can say afterwards they hadn't known or hadn't had the chance to give their opinion (we had that in the past). There might be some people reading there, one never knows, so please grant possible local users to give their opinion and not being overruled. Hello Spacebirdy and Chris, I am Sarvaturi from Sicilian wiktionary and wikipedia, I hope both of you are fine. I must say that there is not really a "local community" on mt.wiktionary: I am the main contributor (I create articles, and I wikificate other ones). Chris does a very good work on mt.wikipedia and I remember that he helped me for some Italian to Maltese translations (which were useful for creating new templates and categories on mt.wiktionary). On further review, and as you say Mardetanha, there were only 2 supports (although there were no objections)... that's rather low, so it probably makes sense to make this a temporary assignment. What do people think? Unless there are strong objections, let's mark this as temporary, 6 month term, expires 4 February 2010. Meanwhile if the community can be built up a bit that would be great. I think number of pages and number of tasks to do for admins is far more important than number of contributors (a good community doesn't need an admin if it functions well).
