Discussion about WYSIWYG edtiors makes it to blogosphere

An old discussion of adding WYSIWYG editing as a MediaWiki option, including Ward C's comments in an interview for the Wikimedia Quarto last fall, made it to the blogosphere this week, following a discussion with Sj and Eugene Kim.
Wikinews makes poor showing in Wikimania Press lineup

55 members of news organizations have been accredited so far to come report on Wikimania during the coming week. Another double-handful of accreditation requests has been rejected. None of these requests has come from a Wikinews reporter... community members trying to explain this lapse are stumped.
Wikimania Begins!

The Wikimania Hacking Days began today, with by the end of the day 20 people from Germany, Venezuela, Chile, Brasil, the UK, the USA, Australia, and Lithuania... the outcome of the day was many enjuyable first meetings, discussions of the Mediawiki infrastructure, and a first hacked version of proper article metadata for different article types.
