Meta-Wiki has a small active community. When a normal user requires the assistance of an administrator or bureaucrat for some particular task, it is not always easy to find one. This page helps users find one when they need one; asking specific admins directly via their talk pages is one way to elicit a fast response. It is only for assistance required at Meta-Wiki, help for other wikis needs to be requested at those wikis.

Translation to Ido

Hi! I've translated "The steward elections have started. Please vote." to Ido: => "L'elekti por super-administreri (stewards) ja komencis. Videz se tu povas votar!". But the translation doesn't appear! Joao Xavier (talk) 23:10, 11 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Steinsplitter: Are these going through to CentralNotice? If they are, then maybe with the change in the relationships that we need to be pointing these translations to that noticeboard, rather than here, seeing it is no longer a sysop or 'crat relationship.  — billinghurst sDrewth 05:07, 13 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Billinghurst: Yes, CN. The text is located at CNBanner:Stewvote-text1/qqq. --Steinsplitter (talk) 12:11, 13 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
I am not sure if asking people to post elsewhere will lead to have those pages updated. At least this page is actively watched. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 18:12, 17 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request for patroller/rollbacker right for user Zoranzoki21 on this wiki

Hi, I would like to get patroller/rollbacker right so I can quickly reverts vandalisms on pages. Zoranzoki21 (talk) 17:08, 15 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Both of your recent reverts were for edits that were likely made in good faith. This edit was likely the user putting the translation in the wrong area (the text is a translation of the title), and this edit again seems like a good-faith addition by someone who isn't very familiar with how Meta works. In these cases, the (undo) button should be used, and you should add an edit summary that explains what the user has done wrong. Because you don't have much other experience reverting vandalism here, I'm going to say   Not done for now, but I'd be happy to reconsider in the future. – Ajraddatz (talk) 17:24, 15 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Ajraddatz: I know to for these things should be used undo button. User which made this edit, asked me on email what he did wrong. I told him what is wrong and I explained him how he should work. Thank you for your trust! Zoranzoki21 (talk) 17:28, 15 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Patroller

I've lately been involved in cases where I need to quickly revert nonsense, but undo, while helpful, is not easy to use in such situations. The ability to use rollback would be helpful, thanks. Leaderboard (talk) 17:09, 15 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

patroller

Please add me to the patroller group if posible. I'd like to be able to see unpatrolled edits to do some RC work once in a while. Thank you. --Krd 17:28, 15 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Edit to archive

Implement this edit to Steward requests/Permissions/2013-06, to prevent the entire bottom half of the page from showing up in small green font. Pppery (talk) 17:11, 17 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

There's a lot of archived pages that suffer from similar font issues. What should be done about them? Pppery (talk) 21:58, 17 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Are they greatly affecting the archives usability? Or are they just appearing as lint errors. If it is minor issues, or just Linter errors, then, sort of falls into the <shrug> space with broken links, etc. If they are actually problematic, then we can look to fix them.  — billinghurst sDrewth 23:09, 17 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
I'd personally be happy to fix any specific examples that are found, but generally I don't think a concerted effort is needed. While they are annoying they don't impair the functionality of the archives. – Ajraddatz (talk) 23:25, 17 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
These do cause large visual displays (ex: in Steward requests/Permissions/2014-04, the entire bottom of the page appears in blue, so they aren't just lint errors, although Ajraddatz is right that they don't exactly impair the functionality of the archives.
