FernGully: The Last Rainforest is an animated feature produced by 20th Century Fox and released on April 10, 1992. It is the story of the fairy people of FernGully, who have never seen humans before. One of the fairies, Crysta, accidentally shrinks Zak, a logger, down to her size. Zak helps the fairies of FernGully stop the oncoming loggers from destroying their forest.

It was directed by Bill Kroyer; the songs were by Thomas Dolby and Alan Silvestri.

The soundtrack includes songs by Tone Loc who also was a voice talent in the movie.

The voice talent included Tim Curry as Hexxus, the main villian, Christian Slater as Pips, one of the fairies, and Robin Williams as Batty Koda. The main characters of Crysta and Zak were voiced by Samantha Mathis and Johnathan Ward respectively.

FernGully was followed by a direct-to-video sequel, FernGully 2: The Magical Rescue, which featured none of the original voice talent.

The film was the first of three animated features released in consecutive years by Fox in the early 1990s: Once Upon a Forest (1993) and The Pagemaster (1994) followed.
