Welcome to the Biography Collaboration of the Week Project Page! Every one to two weeks a collaboration is selected — usually a biographical article or topic related to biography that either has no article or can be drastically improved, with the goal of achieving a feature-standard article from widespread cooperative editing.
Previous winners can be found at /History.

Comments:

  • This article needs improvement because Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr. was a very important landscape architect in the earlier half of the twentieth century and literally has hundreds of projects to his name, including many government facilities and university campuses. The article on his father Frederick Law Olmsted is decent but the son, who did just as much landscaping work as well as a lot of environmental advocacy efforts, has nothing to his name. --Cyde Weys talkcontribs 07:49, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Adrienne Clarkson (December 26)

Nominated:December 12, 2005. Needs 3 votes by December 26, 2005.

Support:

  1. Dowew 19:30, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Comments:

  • This article is important because. . .Adrienne Clarkson is credited with revitalizing the office of the Governor General of Canada and was a promenant newsmaker in Canada during her tenure. She also also a Canadian broadcasting institution hosting numerous shows for the CBC from the 1960's-1999. There is a wealth of information out there, but the page is currently a big mess (most of the controversy section looks to have been plagarized from an encyclopedia article). WIth not too much work this could be brought up to FA status. It is also nominated for Canadian Colaboration of the Week Dowew 19:30, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
