Mamenchisaurus (Mamenchi reptile) was first discovered in 1954 by Dr. C. C. Young in Asia. Mamenchisaurus is known for its astonishingly long neck (which is considered to be the longest ever to exist). Of its 72 foot (22 m) length, half was neck. 19 vertebrae, the most of all known dinosaurs, along with long rods were found in the neck.
