Hadju-cheney syndrome is an extremely rare genetic disorder of the connective tissue and bone metabolism.

Since about 2002, some patients with this disorder have been offered drug therapy with bisphosphonates to treat problems with bone resorption associated with the acro-osteolysis and skeletal dysplasia which characterize this disorder. Drugs of the bisphosphonate class are commonly used to treat osteoporosis
