Slobozia District

Administrative Region of Slobozia is an administrative region of Transnistria, an unrecognized country, that has declared itself independent of Moldova. Its seat is Slobozia. Slobozia is located at 46°44′N 29°42′E / 46.733°N 29.700°E / 46.733; 29.700. It is the souternmost administrative region of Transnistria, located south of the country's capital Tiraspol. The city had a population of 19,000 at the census in 1989. The population of the city is mostly made up of Romanians, while Russians and Ukrainians are important minorities.
