"Up The Junction" was the third single released from Squeeze's second album, Cool for Cats. It is one of the band's most popular songs, and reached #2 on the UK Singles Chart. The song was covered by Lawnmower Deth on their third album, Billy, by The Decemberists during numerous live performances and by Lily Allen for a Yahoo! Music performance. The song is also reworked by its writer on Chris Difford's acoustic album South East Side Story.
