Grosse Ile High School is a very successful school in all aspects. The football team was recently a top team in Michigan, while the tennis and golf teams consistently win or finish at the top.

On top of the athletics, in 2003 Grosse Ile was named the best school district in Michigan, and many still consider it to be this.
