Naomi

Naomi is a female given name, a variant of the name Noam, which can also be pronounced Nomy, a pronunciation from the Viking era. Noam is used both for females and males (Hebrew meaning "pleasantness").


Naomi may also mean:

  • Sega NAOMI, an arcade hardware system that spawned the Dreamcast game console.
  • Naomi (直美 or 尚美, among others) is also a common feminine given name in Japanese where its meanings include "beauty above all else" or "honest fruit" depending on the kanji used.

Naomi is also the formal pronounced form of "Nai" and thus, by proxy, means small, huggable, crazy, pretty, mini, snugglebug type thing
