I work in international community development as a critical adult education instructor. I teach social sciences, literature, writing, special topics, and computers. The ideas of Paulo Freire, Ira Shor, and Henry Giroux, strongly inform my pedagogy. I have worked and/or researched within Micronesia, Haiti, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Mexico, most recently on the U.S.-Pacific island of Saipan.
I received an M.Ed. in Adult Learning and Global Change from the University of British Columbia. Prior, I graduated highest in my class from the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College of Florida Atlantic University with concentrations in anthropology and political science. Before that, I earned my GED diploma and two certificates from the University of the Nations.
I am an INFJ who could be described as a curious blend of Protestant theological conservatism and radical social and political nonconformism. My Christian faith practice most identifies with the emerging church and liberation theology movements.
I am married and have three school-aged children. My spouse is a missionary kid who was born in Bolivia and is an over ten-year survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Recreationally, I enjoy film, theatre, travel, camping, and fishing.
I am of Jewish and English/Irish descent. During World War II, my biological mother hid within a Catholic Monestary to escape Benito Mussolini. Catholic sisters aided my biological mother to flee to the United States where I was born much later. I was adopted into a family of German descent and have never met either of my biological parents.

Major Contributions
I enjoy contributing to Wikipedia because it allows me to increase and expand my knowledge bases. While my contributions to date have been in relatively narrow areas, my interests are actually wide-ranging.
