"Te Busqué"
Song

"Te Busqué" is a song written by the Canadian singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado and the Colombian musicians Juanes and Léster Mendez. It is the fifth single released from Furtado's third studio album, Loose (2006).

"Te Busqué" was released on 8 July in Spain, entering at number thirty-two, and eventually reaching the number three on Spanish iTunes Music Store.

The song has been leaked to Latin radio stations in the United States and also in some countries in Latin America, reaching top positions.

It was released as the first single from Loose in Spain. The main reason was the little interest of radios and video channels to play hip-hop/R&B-related songs, like "Promiscuous" or "Maneater". The decision was taken after Furtado's record label, Geffen Records, realized that hip-hop albums sold less than expected in Spain in 2005. As an example, Mariah Carey's The Emancipation of Mimi was dropped off for commercial release and only the first single ("We Belong Together") was released. It was planned to be released along with "No Hay Igual", which features a rap by René Pérez, but lately it was announced that only "Te Busqué" would be released. It was also released as the second single from the album in Chile.
