Cambi di regole

La Football League da questa stagione decide di adottare le nuove regole finanziarie decise dalla UEFA. Con questo nuovo regolamento i club della League One decidono di introdurre un salary cap da questa stagione, Salary Cost Management Protocol (SCMP), un limite fisso per la spesa adibita agli ingaggi dei giocatori.^[2]
