Willy Messerschmitt (born June 26 1898, Frankfurt am Main - September 15 1978, Munich) was a German aircraft designer and Aircraft manufacturer. He is most famous for his fighter aircraft such as the legendary Bf-109, and the Me-262, the world's first jet fighter aircraft.
