Skins (album)
Skins, stilizzato graficamente come SKINS, è il terzo album in studio del rapper statunitense XXXTentacion, pubblicato postumo il 7 dicembre 2018[3] e distribuito dalla Bad Vibes Forever ed Empire Distribution. Anticipato dal singolo BAD!, pubblicato il 9 novembre 2018, Skins era uno dei progetti sul quale Onfroy stava lavorando prima della sua morte, ed è il suo primo album postumo.

Prefazione
Dopo la pubblicazione di A Ghetto Christmas Carol nel dicembre del 2017, XXXTentacion annunciò il fatto che stesse lavorando a tre nuovi progetti,[4] chiamati eventualmente Bad Vibes Forever, ?, e Skins.[5] Il secondo album in studio del rapper statunitense fu pubblicato nel marzo 2018 con il nome di ?. XXXTentacion venne ucciso in una sparatoria nel giugno 2018, prima che Bad Vibes Forever e Skins potessero venire pubblicati.
Dopo la sua morte è stato pubblicato temporaneamente sul suo profilo Instagram che l'album sarebbe stato "super corto. Sarà letteralmente un minuto",[6][3] ma diverse testate giornalistiche riportano che l'album possa essere in una forma non finita.[7] Alcuni dettagli riguardanti l'album sono stati trapelati quando un link dell'iTunes Store è diventato attivo per un periodo di tempo il 7 novembre 2018, prima di essere rimosso: il link mostrava che l'album avrebbe contenuto 10 tracce, per un totale di 17 minuti.[7] L'unico titolo mostrato era quello di BAD!. DJ Scheme, il DJ di XXXTentacion, ha affermato che Skins non sarà l'ultimo progetto postumo di Onfroy.[8]
Promozione
L'album è stato promosso da un'esibizione live in cui si sono esibiti rapper come Trippie Redd e PnB Rock,[9][10] entrambi apparsi nei lavori precedenti del rapper originario di Plantation (Florida).
