Hello again,

I would like to be able to write all the words in English. Except the place names don't matter as they are the same except İstanbul is Istanbul without a dot in English, but I wonder if they could/should be Wikilinks?

If anyone is kind enough to take this on let me know before you start as it might also be nice to Turkify the symbols if Berkaysnklf (talk · contribs) agrees.

Hi Bogazicili I'm pretty sure that map is a screenshot of a map found online, and so it has some copyright issues. However, it's easy enough to put up something based on File:BlankMap-World.svg. Would that work? CMD (talk) 13:05, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi Chipmunkdavis, that would be great thanks! For copyright issues, should we notify the author of the image? Bogazicili (talk) 09:54, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
@Bogazicili: please see above. Probably worth inquiring with the original author regarding 2020 copyright. CMD (talk) 10:42, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
Chipmunkdavis, this looks great! Thanks! Do you think we should also put the scale within the image rather than in the legend? I have no preference either way, but just curious which would be more readable. What's the standard practice in Wikipedia? Bogazicili (talk) 11:09, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
My understanding is that it is usually preferred to keep legends out of images, as this makes them easier to use across different language wikis. CMD (talk) 12:16, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
Chipmunkdavis, that makes perfect sense. I updated the images on English Wikipedia with your version. Thanks for the help! Bogazicili (talk) 12:47, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Please could someone update the above map to 2021. It would involve just adding North Northamptonshire and West Northamptonshire in red. Thanks. -- DelUsion23 (talk) 19:33, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

By the way, that "SVG" is actually just an embeded raster graphic. Might as well recreate it from scratch. — Berrely • TalkContribs 18:46, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for the info. I don't have the skills necessary to create a new svg from scratch, but if someone is able to that would be great. DelUsion23 (talk) 19:11, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
All these England maps appear to trace back to File:English administrative divisions 2010.svg. The main issue is these maps have Northamptonshire as one joint authority. Has anyone created a 2021 map with both? Otherwise it may be possible to manipulate File:Northamptonshire UK district map (blank).svg, which was created using the same projection. (There may also be other areas that need updates from 2010.) CMD (talk) 13:07, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
Thanks CMD. That map would be a great starting point. It looks like the only other change since 2010 to the boundaries is the merging of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, which would also have to be updated. File:Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole UK ward map (blank) 2019.svg may be useful for that. DelUsion23 (talk) 14:19, 3 May 2021 (UTC)

{{Resolved}} Using the above help I was able to fashion the following using my crude skills (File:English unitary authorities 2021.svg). I'm happy enough with it. If anyone wants to improve it then it's largely there now. Thanks again to the workshop for the help. DelUsion23 (talk) 14:58, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
