Excerpt from Enno Littman's article (1955)
Not to abuse the goodwill of fellow editors, but I'd like to have a look at the following article:

Access to Émile Laoust's Contes Bérberes du Maroc and his commentaries
- Laoust, Émile. Contes berbères du Maroc: textes berbères du groupe Beraber-Chleuh (Maroc central, Haut et Anti-Atlas). Larose, 1949. around page 189ff (some before and some after). [I think it must be the 1949 edition with the commentaries].
For The Dancing Water, the Singing Apple, and the Speaking Bird. Émile Laoust is one of the few authors I have found that analysed Berber/North African variants of the tale type. I plan to check his notations and use it as one source in another article where I'm moving the North African (Algeria, Morocco, Kabyle, Tunisia) from that article.
Thanks, KHR FolkMyth (talk) 21:11, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
- KHR FolkMyth, that's https://archive.org/details/ContesBerberesDuMarocE.Laoust12, no? You can browse through the book there. — Pajz (talk) 20:41, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for the link. I checked it and it seems to lack the commentaries, since, by the link on googlebooks, Laoust remarks on specific motifs of the Berber/Kabylian/Algerian variants of type 707. I plan to use it as a source for another article to where I'm moving the North African variants from "The Dancing Water, The Singing Apple and the Speaking Bird". KHR FolkMyth (talk) 01:58, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
- I have my doubts, the details you gave and the details of the Internet Archive copy seem to be a perfect match. Maybe Google Books has gotten it wrong (which is not a particularly rare occurrence, even though everyone always seems to assume it must be correct). I've ordered the volume you cited to the reading room and will check if page 189 looks like the one in the Google Books snippet. — Pajz (talk) 12:04, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
KHR FolkMyth, sent. This is from the other sub-volume/part of the volume, 50,2. 50,1, which you cite, is sub-titled "Textes berbères du groupe Beraber-Chleuh", 50,2 is subtitled "Traduits et annotés". The Google Books record wrongly suggests the excerpt is in 50,1, presumably because in the volume scanned by Google, 50,1 was bound together with 50,2. — Pajz (talk) 19:15, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you. Seeing Laoust's notations, it is even better than what I expected! {{resolved}} KHR FolkMyth (talk) 21:12, 12 April 2022 (UTC)

A museum exhibition booklet with parallel text in Dutch and English
{{resolved}}
De familie Lopes Suasso financiers van Willem III = The Lopes Suasso family, bankers to William III
Author: Daniël Swetschinski; Loeki Schönduve; Joods Historich Museum.
Publisher: Amsterdam Joods Historich Museum cop. 1988.
or
Publisher: Zwolle, Netherlands : Waanders, ©1988.
I find this item in seven or eight different versions, and I can't decide which is better. Here are four possible OCLC's in ascending order:
OCLC 434968580 / OCLC 865907971 / OCLC 911653190 / and OCLC 933386868
The booklet is 88 pages total, but I need only the English text/part of it, which should be half? Can someone here please scan the English part only and sent it to me? Much appreciated. This is for the Peter Serrarius, John Dury, and Henry Oldenburg WP articles. Thank you, warshy (¥¥) 18:18, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
Doing... (probably Tuesday). — Pajz (talk) 11:33, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you SO MUCH, as always, Pajz. I am always amazed at how you guys do it! warshy (¥¥) 18:56, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- warshy, the volume uses a two-column layout with Dutch on the left and English on the right side, so it is not possible to scan only the English part. Unfortunately, scanning entire books is somewhat problematic (see the red notice at the top of this page: "We cannot perform full book copy requests due to copyright."). Do you think there's perhaps a way to narrow down the request a bit? I've sent you the table of contents. — Pajz (talk) 21:24, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot Pajz. I am looking at the table of contents and trying to decide what pages are really crucial for me, and what pages are not. If possible, I will try to request no more than 10 or 15 pages, but I have to decide which are those. I hope I can come to a decision until tomorrow? Thanks a lot again for your help with this. Kind regards, warshy (¥¥) 22:16, 12 April 2022 (UTC)

Dear Pajz, Looking at the table of contents, how about you scanned only pages 7 to 32 and sent those to me? That would give me the basics of what I need from the source, I think. Thank you very much again for all your help with this request. Kind regards, warshy (¥¥) 17:28, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
- warshy, sent (sorry about the quality of some pages, that's what happens when you misremember the page range and then use your phone to photograph the remaining pages because you're too lazy to go back to the book scanner). Feel free to request additional pages if you think that would be helpful. I'm just a bit hesitant to scan the entire or essentially the entire thing for policy/legal reasons. Hope you understand! Best, — Pajz (talk) 19:19, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- Dear Pajz. I've got the file! Thank you so much again! This is more than enough for what I need for the time being. (I just wish I knew how you do it, because for me it all looks just like magic. :<)) I'll go ahead and mark the thread as resolved. Thank you so much! warshy (¥¥) 20:02, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- warshy, well, it's really a particularly unmagical process: If something is requested that any of the libraries within walking distance from where I work or live happens to have in its collection, I order the volume, if necessary, go there when I have a chance (in most cases that's when I'm there anyway) and scan the pages. — Pajz (talk) 00:01, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
- Pajz. The way you have it organized with an email with the link to where the document can be downloaded is the most rapid and efficient way I've seen here of having these important requests fulfilled easily and quickly. Thank you so much again for all the work you do here! Regards, warshy (¥¥) 15:41, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

- From what I can see, the proceedings volume (Proceedings of the Third International Conference of Ethiopian Studies ; Addis Ababa 1966, published in Addis Ababa : Inst. of Ethiopian Studies, Haile Sellassie I Univ., 1969-70) itself consists of three volumes and the article appears to be in either the second or the third. The Music Review (ProQuest maybe?)
- Coolidge, Richard (August 1979). "Architectonic Technique and Innovation in the Rakhmaninov Piano Concertos". The Music Review (sometimes just "Music Review"). Volume 40 (Issue 3). Cambridge: Black Bear Press Limited.
Trying to bring Piano Concerto No. 2 (Rachmaninoff) to FA.
Important: The Music Review discontinued back in 1994. No matter how far and wide I look, I cannot find anything about the journal or the publisher (which has also discontinued) except very minimal info. The music journal exists in ProQuest (here), but the exact publication from 1979 is not there because ProQuest only views ones from 1989 to 1994. If someone has full access to ProQuest, please tell me if prior years are shown, as TWL doesn't show them. If you find the journal elsewhere, please tell me.
