Iranian and Arabic Folktales

For Animal as Bridegroom and related tales. According to Ulrich Marzolph, the tale is a variant of type 425B, "Son of the Witch" (Cupid and Psyche). ITEM 1 HAS BEEN FULFILLED.

  • Ursula Nowak "Beitrage zur Typologie des arabischen Volksmarchen". Ph.D. dissertation Freiburg. 1969.

Also for Animal as Bridegroom and related tales. If possible, access to Nowak's type 251, which, in her classification of Arabic Folktales, corresponds to ATU 425B.

EITHER one OR the other, whichever available. The tale is the same, but the editions differ. There is also a section with commentaries. ITEM 1 HAS BEEN RECEIVED.

  •   Sent ← SPIES, Otto. Türkische Märchen. Köln: 1986. pp. 140-145 (Tale nr. 19 "Der Pferdemann"); ca. p. 319 (Anmerkungen on tale nr. 19)

This is another Turkish tale, from another book. Spies cites some bibliography on his commentary on tale 19.

Encyclopaedia Aethiopica Volume 1, A-C

For Amha Iyasus, Asfaw Wossen (ruler of Shewa), Bahrey, Bashah Aboye, Mentewab and others, i would like to see eleven entries in this Encyclopedia. One entry is usually one or two pages, so guessing about 11-22 pages total (Encyclopedia has more than 800 pages). I don't know on which pages these entries are.

@Toadspike: I don't know a different spelling for Lesana Krestos, no need for that entry, and for Neguie Walda Mikael, perhaps Neguse Walda Mikael/Neguse Wolde Mikael?
