Spider-Man 3 is a video game based on the Spider-Man 3 film. It is scheduled to be released May 4, 2007.
The scenario draws from the film, Spider-Man comics and the Marvel Universe. The game will feature the movie's primary villains Venom, New Goblin, and Sandman.
Gameplay
During the game, the player takes control of both Spider-Man and the Black Spider-Man created by the symbiote. Abilities in the game include agility and web-based attacks so that you can subdue your enemy. The game is free-roaming, as with Spider-Man 2. Also, in an interview with GameSpot, game developer Chris Archer said that Manhattan in Spider-Man 3 will be much larger than its predecessor, now includes sewers and subterranean tunnels, and is expected to be highly detailed. The game features ten villains and ten storylines. The game will not utilize a gameplay checklist, but the player can set his or her own goals and decide where to go next.[1] The game will not feature many cutscenes but rather interactive scenes from the movie that you play through to make it feel more realistic.

There will also be a PS3 collectors edition that will include Spider-Man 3 movie webisodes, movie cast and crew interviews and New Goblin, Harry Osborn, as a playable character.[1]
The Wii version will utilize its Wii Remote to perform various moves and delivers the sensation of swinging through the city via the Wii Remote and Wii Nunchuk.
There will also be PC, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable versions of the game.
Trivia
- Video game magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly was slated to have a worldwide exclusive story on the game for its October 2006 issue, going so far as to promote the exclusive in the previous issue. The issue instead shipped with a Guitar Hero II lead story because director Sam Raimi pulled it at the last minute.[citation needed]
